Friends of Rotary (over 18)

Friday Fun Night
Dress Code: Casual Outdoor Attire (weather dependent)

Enjoy a family event at Trefoil Lake. Start with a BBQ and then gather around the campfire for s’mores, a sing-along/play-along lead by the Rotary Club of Edmonton Northeast’s Ukulele ensemble. Bring your instrument and play along! 

Other activities include a “make your own photo booth”, treasure hunt, history of the Jasper Park Lodge, and more!

Gin and Tonic Tasting
Cost: $47 per person
Minimum 30 people (date and time TBC)

Classic gin and tonic is the world’s most loved cocktail. In recent times, “gourmet” fin and tonic recipes have been developed with this gin and that tonic and garnished with just the right ingredient. Join the bartenders at Jasper Park Lodge to prepare and taste. Discover your favourite “Grand T”!

 

Art Party

An Introduction to Watercolour Painting

Cost: $100 - Maximum 20 Adults. All materials provided (3 hours)

Mountain Galleries is offering this introductory course with artist Pascale Robinson as
the instructor. Pascale is a recent graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Alberta
and is considered a “rising star.” Her work is featured in Mountain Galleries at the
Jasper Park Lodge. She has been teaching watercolour landscape painting for a few
years and is excited to share her knowledge with you.

Natural Born Quilter Workshop & Trunk Show

With Quilting Extraordinaire Brett Lewis

2023 Conference Quilters Schedule

Relatively new to the world of quilting, having bought his first sewing machine in 2016, Brett has completed over 60 quilts, attended multiple International Quilt Markets, pattern tested for international-renowned designers, been featured on quilting podcasts, CBC Radio, and in international quilting magazines. He has created his own original quilt patterns and fabric designs, been featured in the 2022 Quilter’s Planner, and developed an Artist’s Palette thread collection with Wonderfil Specialty Threads. His debut fabric collection, Stag and Thistle, for Northcott Fabrics, launched in the fall of 2019, his second collection Prairie Meadow shipped in the fall of 2021, and his third collection Wild in the fall of 2022. Brett will present about his quilting journey, marketing NBQ, inspiration for his fabric collections, and showcase an array of his favourite quilts and concludes with a compressed trunk show with his favourite smaller projects and with a Q&A session.

Kids Camps

Friday, April 21: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Saturday, April 22: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm 

The cost is $96 daily and includes breakfast, lunch and snacks.


There will be indoor and outdoor activities, crafts and more! 

The Conference Committee reserves the right to cancel and/or change programs with insufficient
registrations or any circumstances beyond our control.


Scheduling, availability and pricing of add-ons for the Family and Friends program could be subject to
change based on availability, minimum number of participants, weather, and any other as determined by
the District 2023 Conference Committee


Babysitting can be arranged through the Jasper Park Lodge with an outside provider.
